About

Welcome to the Artifact for the Healthcare Administrator and Policymakers Team!

What is this?

HELLO! Thank you for visiting our artifact webpage as part of our Scenario Exhibit for Innovation by Design II (IBDII - HTHSCI 4LA3)!
In this course we think creatively about the what the future landscape of health, healthcare, and caregiving will look like from different perspectives. We are the Healthcare Administrator and Policymaker team!
This course introduces students to strategic foresight and experiential futures in health leadership and innovation. Building on the design thinking methods and tools from Innovation by Design I, students will work in interdisciplinary teams to address a health-related challenge. Students will learn about identifying weak signals, scenario development, and storytelling as part of developing plausible health futures.

How Do I Use This Website?

About

You are here now on our about page! On the left-hand navigation side-bar you will be able to navigate throughout the website. This navigation side-bar will always be available to you so you can check out the different webpages that make up our artifact! The pages include: About, Job Ad, Applicant 1, Applicant 2, and Vote. As you interact with this website you will be in the hotseat. You are a healthcare administrator and it is your responsibility to preview the two applicants (Applicant 1 and Applicant 2) who are applying for the Job Advertisement listed. Once you have previewed the Job Ad and the applicants, please use the Vote page to lock-in which of the two applicants you think would be a better applicant. One of these applicants are envisioned to be ideal in the year of 2020 and the other a better candidate in 2030. We are interested in exploring quantitatively which applicant is preferred! This will help us greatly in our final group reflection - thank you for your help!

Job Ad

Here is a job advertisement for our two applicants. Please review this before previewing the profiles of our two applicants (Applicant 1 and Applicant 2). The position is Director of Health and Wellness at the 4LA3 Grand River Hospital here in Hamilton! Disclaimer: the other job advertisements on the Job Ad page are simply placeholders and are not functional.

Applicant 1 and 2

Here you will find the profiles of the two applicants applying for the Job Ad. Please preview both of these profiles once you have an idea of the Job Ad -- it is your responsibility to hire the best candidate! The 4LA3 Grand River Hospital is counting on you!

Vote

Please vote for whichever applicant you feel would be a better fit for the job!
